Shipbuilder AMER YACHTS

The Italian brand AMER YACHTS was founded in 1973 by Fernando Amerio who had a great passion for the sea and which subsequently led to the creation of the company Permare Group. Initially, the company was engaged in handling and technical service, but a little later it is dedicated to its own production. From the 1980s, the yard launched around 5 yachts per year. The company's production facilities are located at three sites: Sanremo Ship in Portosole, Cantieri del Ponente in the town of Imperia and a new Cantieri del Mediterraneo shipyard in Bussana Vecchia, Sanremo. This allows them to build their yachts from 26 to 40 meters in length. Today, in addition to shipbuilding, the company offers vessel storage and sale services. In 2018, the builder won the Boat Builder Awards with two nominations: “innovations in the production process” and “ecological initiative”. The shipyard seeks to reduce the negative impact on the environment of exhaust gases. Experts carefully select engines that give boats high speed with minimal fuel consumption. In the future, the company plans to introduce electric propulsion and is already engaged in research in this area.
