Founded in 1953 by Jan Jongert in the Netherlands, in Opperdoes. JONGERT started out building small motor boats, and in 1960 launched his first luxury motor yacht. Jongert is located in the district of Wieringermeer. Jongert specializes in semi-custom and custom luxury sailing and motor yachts, mostly built in steel or aluminum. Jongert's worldwide fleet has more than 325 launches. In 2002, the Jongert 3200M was launched, marking the start of a new series of high-performance cruising sloops. With a new owner, the yard launched the 2400M Uisge Beatha in 2011. Equipped with all the latest technology and designed to be sailed with a limited number of sailors. Jongert offers three ranges of luxury yachts: Performance, Cruising and Special. The Performance line includes yachts ranging from 39 to 50 meters like the 500LE. The Cruising Line of yachts ranging from 40 to 46 meters, offering comfort and luxury on board, these sturdy vessels are built to sail around the world, with a solid steel hull and aluminum superstructure. At the start of the 21st century, the Jongert shipyard is experiencing difficulties, it has become part of the VeKa group.
