Shipbuilder LAGOON

Lagoon is a world leader in French cruising catamarans, with more than 5,800 sailing and motor catamarans built since its inception. Founded in 1984 by the Jeanneau Techniques Avancées department on the banks of the Garonne in Bordeaux, France, then acquired by the Bénéteau Group in 1995. The year in which the manufacturer started producing motor catamarans. In 2004, Lagoon launched the 440, the first catamaran with a nacelle in the shape of a gull's wing and less than 13 meters with a flybridge. This was a world production record in the 14-meter (45-foot) range with 423 units produced, the design of which has been copied around the world. The Lagoon 380 catamarans were also one of the most popular models, the design of which is still the pride of the yard today. Catamarans of less than 15 meters are built in Belleville-sur-Vie and launched in Sables-d'Olonne in Vendée. While the more than 15 meters long are built at the CNB shipyard in Bordeaux. Lagoon's teams have long been involved in the development of renewable energies, notably with the launch, in 2008, of the Lagoon 420 Hybrid, equipped with two electric motors. More recently, the shipyard is launching a new range of cruising catamarans, which has met with great success with customers. The Seventy range offers two models over 24 meters. The Seventy 7 sailboat version and the Seventy 8 motoryacht version. The yard is launching the 16.5-meter-long Lagoon 55 in 2021, which won the British Yachting Awards. FROLSON is a privileged partner in the insurance of Lagoon catamarans with a large number of units insured worldwide.
